Abstract |
The importance of cities with a character in the urban heritage lies in their present and future, material and cultural, and they are sources for understanding the urban and social environment and factors of diversity and a motive for creativity and renewal. Various forces, whether economic, social or cultural, have contributed to its formation before, and are still re-forming it, which made it a complex urban pattern. Therefore, the historical pattern in addition to new developments can interact together and strengthen each other’s role and enhance its meaning. The Suez Canal is one of the most important national projects because of its history, civilization, politics and economy. It is a lifeline, as it is a global project that affects the interest of Egypt and the world at large. Given the importance of the Suez Canal, this importance has shifted to the Suez Canal region and therefore it is one of the most important regions Egyptian and the most associated with the outside world. |
